Recycling Waste
Clares currently recycles 100% of all waste generated in-house which comprises of cardboard, polythene and office paper.
- Obsolete products donated to local schools. Account Managers mileage. These are monitored and targets have been agreed.
- We adhere to the 'three Rs' (Reduce! Re-use! Recycle!) to ensure waste goes to landfill.
- All paper/bottles/cans are recycled through the company.
- All staff are given training when they join the company on our Environmental programmes to ensure everyone does their bit!
- All packaging is recycled.
- We have instigated a battery reclamation programme through the office, whereby all staff can bring in old used batteries and we will dispose of them through the correct waste carrier.
- We use a national company called 'save-a-cup' to recycle all vending machine cups which would otherwise go to landfill.
- Delivery fleet new Euro 5 emissions will arrive in October 2009.
- Post code mapping helps optimise van routes and minimise miles travelled.
